published in 2024 — 2025.

Every protocol at Irvine Health is anchored in peer-reviewed clinical evidence. Below: five recent New England Journal of Medicine publications that frame our practice.

Important FDA & Regulatory Disclosures

FDA-approved

Semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) and tirzepatide (Zepbound, Mounjaro) are FDA-approved branded drugs. Tirzepatide is now FDA-approved for obstructive sleep apnea in obesity (December 2024).

Off-label / Compounded

BPC-157, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, thymosin alpha-1, and TB-500 are not FDA-approved as commercial drugs. They may be legally prescribed off-label by US-licensed physicians and prepared by 503A compounding pharmacies under FDA's compounding framework. Long-term safety in humans has not been established through large randomized controlled trials for most of these peptides.

Investigational

Retatrutide is not FDA-approved and is only available within registered clinical trials. Irvine Health does not prescribe or dispense retatrutide. This article references published research only.

01 · Metabolic Health

Weight management, re-engineered.

Precision peptides that target fat metabolism, regulate appetite, and restore metabolic flexibility — the way your body was designed to work.

GLP-1 agonist

Semaglutide

The gold standard in medical weight management. Mimics GLP-1 to suppress appetite, slow gastric emptying, and dramatically improve insulin sensitivity.

Appetite control Insulin sensitivity Weight loss
Dual GIP/GLP-1

Tirzepatide

The next evolution. Activates GLP-1 and GIP receptors simultaneously for enhanced metabolic signaling, greater weight reduction, and superior glycemic control.

Dual mechanism Glycemic control Now FDA-OSA
Lipolytic peptide

AOD-9604

A modified hGH fragment that specifically stimulates fat breakdown without affecting blood sugar or growth signaling. Clean, targeted lipolysis.

Fat burning Glucose-sparing Targeted lipolysis
Mitochondrial peptide

MOTS-c

Your cells' built-in exercise pill. Activates AMPK pathways to mimic the metabolic effects of exercise, improving insulin sensitivity and energy output.

02 · Regenerative Medicine

Tissue repair & recovery.

Peptides that engage the body's own repair pathways — angiogenesis, collagen synthesis, cell migration. From tendon healing to skin renewal.

Pentadecapeptide

BPC-157

The legendary healing peptide. Accelerates repair of tendons, ligaments, muscles, and gut lining via angiogenesis and nitric oxide signaling.

Tendon repair Gut healing Angiogenesis
Thymosin Beta-4

TB-500

The systemic recovery accelerator. Promotes cell migration and differentiation for whole-body healing. Often stacked with BPC-157.

03 · Longevity Science

Growth hormone & longevity.

Stimulate your body's own GH production naturally — for deeper sleep, leaner physique, and cellular rejuvenation. Not synthetic HGH.

GH secretagogue blend

CJC-1295 · Ipamorelin

The gold-standard growth hormone stack. CJC-1295 extends GHRH half-life while ipamorelin provides selective ghrelin-receptor activation. Together, they replicate youthful pulsatile GH physiology — without shutting down endogenous production.

04 · Cognitive & Immune

Brain & immune health.

Peptides that sharpen mental clarity, modulate immunity, and restore hormonal balance — the foundation of resilient, long-term health.

Tα1 · Immune modulator

Thymosin Alpha-1

A master regulator of immune function. Trains the immune system to respond more effectively to infections; used worldwide for chronic viral conditions and longevity protocols.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in your body. The peptides we prescribe are bioidentical to those your body naturally produces. When administered under physician supervision with pharmacy-grade compounds, they have excellent safety profiles supported by extensive clinical research.
Yes. All peptides at Irvine Health are prescribed by a licensed physician after a full medical evaluation. This ensures safety, proper dosing, and efficacy. You'll have a virtual consultation before any prescription is written.
503A compounding pharmacies create customized medications tailored to individual patient prescriptions under strict FDA and state regulatory oversight. This allows for precise dosing and formulations not available as commercial products, while maintaining pharmaceutical-grade quality standards.
Timeline varies by peptide and individual. Weight loss peptides like semaglutide typically show measurable results within 4–8 weeks. Tissue repair peptides like BPC-157 often provide relief in 2–4 weeks. Growth hormone secretagogues optimize over 3–6 months. Your physician will set realistic expectations based on your specific protocol.
Several peptides were recently reclassified by the FDA, returning them to Category 1 status for 503A pharmacy compounding. We're building our physician network and pharmacy partnerships now. Joining the waitlist ensures you're first in line when prescriptions become available for each peptide.
Absolutely — peptide stacking is one of the most powerful aspects of this therapy. Common protocols include BPC-157 + TB-500 for injury recovery, CJC-1295 + ipamorelin for growth hormone optimization, and multi-peptide longevity protocols. Your physician will design a synergistic stack based on your goals.

*The assessment made available on the Irvine Health website does not create a doctor-patient relationship between the individual completing the assessment and Irvine Health. Irvine Health partners with a network of US-licensed doctors that adhere to rigorous medical protocols designed for patient safety. The answers an individual provides to the Irvine Health assessment consequently determine if the individual is screened out of eligibility for medication, and an Irvine Health clinician will meet with an individual after checkout to determine if they qualify for a prescription. Irvine Health clinicians retain the decision to prescribe compounded medications to patients.

All claims and benefits on this website refer to self-reported data from customers on a treatment plan that includes compounded medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire every 3–4 weeks thereafter. Results from compounded medications found on the Irvine Health platform may vary and be affected by an individual’s adherence to the program and their clinician’s recommendations. Compounded peptides and GLP-1s are produced in FDA-regulated facilities. Although these facilities are highly regulated, the medications are not FDA-approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality. The decision to use compounded drugs is guided by the licensed provider’s medical judgment, which is informed by a telehealth consultation and medical history.

We encourage all prospective users of compounded medications to speak with their provider about the specific risks and benefits that may come with the use of compounded medication. Irvine Health does not produce compounded medications, and individuals may receive medication that looks different than what is portrayed on the website.

Pharmacy Providers

We are partnered with multiple USA certified pharmacies to bring the best product and overall experience to our membership. Our team meets regularly with pharmacies to discuss any product shortages, shipping delays, and get updated reports on their medication testing.

*Results vary based on starting weight and program adherence. Inches lost from hips, waist, chest, thighs, and arms in the first month. Patients exercised daily and ate a reduced-calorie diet. Their fat loss is not typical. Results may vary. Medication prescriptions are at the discretion of medical providers and may not be suitable for everyone. Consult a healthcare professional before using medication or starting any weight loss program. *Based on the average weight loss as reported by patients without diabetes who reached and maintained a dose of 2.4 mg/week of GLP-1 treatment, along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
